The participating artists in this festivals are the most talented and famous artists of Afghanistan and each of them will participate in this festival with a basket of new performance’s. In the festival program, there are beautiful folkloric and national dances, special artistic programs for the healthy engagement of children and teenagers, and other interesting shows.
It is planned that the football matches of Afghan teams around the world will be gathered here in Bay Area after many years. We will try our best to invite the Afghan girls national football team to this festival for a friendly match with the Oakland Soul girls’ team.
In the last ten years, young Afghan filmmakers left Afghanistan due to the deterioration of the situation in Afghanistan, and most of them continue to live and work in America, Europe, Australia, and Canada. This number has increased especially in the last two years. We are planning to choose best Afghan films and invite the filmmakers to California during the Hamdeli Festival this year to participate in the competition and receive awards.
Afghan artist are active around the world. The young creators such as photographers, filmmakers, painters, designers and other artists have produced interesting works that mostly reflect their living conditions in war in their homeland and also in migration. We invite all artists to show their works in this festival.
Afghans keep the customs, traditions and living habits of their land even in migration, for this reason is that the United States market has witnessed the growth of shops, markets, bakeries, butchers, wedding Halls, restaurants and other economic options, and this market is growing and prospering. We will invite these businesses to present their products and services in our Hamdeli Festival.
