CONTEXT & RATIONALE
Afghanistan under the Taliban regime is a silent disaster.
Afghanistan’s children, girls, and women are at the heart of this tragedy. The world is watching, and there is an obscure silence about “Discrimination & Injustice against Afghan Women.”
The program is an expressive voice that we want to bring to the ears and hearts of the lovers and friends of Afghanistan and the people of the United States of America. An expressive voice through melody, songs, painting colors, and photos.
there will be Music (live performance), exhibition of Afghan traditional cloths, handicrafts and gallery/art pieces and Afghan food. Basically, the main goal for this event is to establish more community engagement and support newly Afghan communities during their integration in America. It will also be a chance to invite our American friends to know more about Afghanistan’s people and the beautiful side of our culture.
Hamdeli (empathy) for Afghanistan:
In the fantastic music lineup, we have multiple food and handcrafted bazaars, fashion shows, and a comedy performance to tickle your funny bone. Our festival allows you to truly immerse yourself in Afghan culture, with performances and vendors that showcase our rich heritage.
The festival kicks off at 4 pm and runs until 11 pm, so come early and stay late to make the most of this auspicious occasion! Our team is working tirelessly to create a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone in attendance, making Hamdeli Festival 2023 the place to be.
